TSRGD-Compliant, Passively Safe Pole Cones Approved for Roads up to 70 mph
The Jislon Pole Cone range provides a proven, passively safe solution for highways and urban environments. Highways England approved, these pole cones are designed for use on roads up to 70 mph and tested to rebound over 1,000 times, reducing damage and lowering long-term maintenance costs.
Available in orange or black with TSRGD road markings (also known as “wands”), Jislon TSRGD Highway Pole Cones are supplied in 800 mm or 1000 mm heights with Ø80mm diameter. These versatile rebound bollards and traffic control bollards are quick to install, highly durable, and suitable for a wide range of road safety applications.
Purpose-Designed Fixing Options
Available with NS or NSE fixings, Jislon On-Highway Pole Cones can be specified to suit permanent high-speed installations or locations where rapid access and replacement are required.
Suitable for High-Speed Highway Use
The NS fixing, with its embedded metal anchor, provides a strong and secure installation method ideal for high-speed roads and locations with depth constraints.
Long-Term Durability and Visibility
Manufactured from durable rubber and supplied with TSRGD-compliant reflective markings, Jislon Pole Cones are designed to withstand impact, remain highly visible and perform reliably over time.
Quick Access and Easy Replacement
The NSE fixing uses a threaded insert system, allowing pole cones to be unscrewed for access or replacement without disturbing the surrounding surface.

FAQs - On Highway Pole Cones
Are Jislon On-Highway Pole Cones suitable for high-speed roads?
Yes. Jislon On-Highway Pole Cones are approved for use on UK highways at speeds of up to 70 mph, making them suitable for high-speed road environments where durability, visibility and safety are critical.
What makes these pole cones suitable for high-speed highway use?
Their suitability comes from a combination of passively safe design, durable rubber construction, and secure fixing options. When installed with the NS fixing, the embedded metal anchor provides a robust, stable solution designed for demanding highway conditions.
How do Jislon On-Highway Pole Cones perform if struck by a vehicle at speed?
Jislon On-Highway Pole Cones are passively safe and designed to rebound after impact. Each pole cone has been tested to rebound more than 1,000 times, allowing it to flex and recover when struck rather than snapping or causing excessive damage.
This rebound behaviour helps reduce damage to vehicles and surrounding infrastructure, while maintaining the effectiveness and longevity of the installation on high-speed roads.
What does TSRGD mean?
TSRGD stands for Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions. It is the UK legislation that sets out how traffic signs, road markings and associated highway equipment must be designed, coloured and used on public roads.
