RediPave Traffic Islands with Brighton & Hove City Council

Brighton & Hove have recently installed RediPave Traffic Islands in Oxford Street in Brighton to prevent vehicles cutting the junction and to offer more protection to cyclists and pedestrians.

The scheme has been very successful and the council has received good positive feedback from local residents and have provided the below statement:-

“Have to say, not only am I impressed by them and the speed at which we could install them, we have also received positive feedback from the

Local Action Team on behalf of the many pedestrians in the area and unexpectedly, from many cyclists who say it has made their cycle lane safer to use and

that the many buses that use the junction are also doing so at a more modest and safe speed.”
